1) University of Chicago (Booth)

Chicago Booth School of Business offers an evening program that is a good fit for Chicago residents. Its weekend MBA program enrolls students from all over the U.S.  

They require part-time MBA applicants to submit their GMAT or GRE score and do not have a preference for a specific exam. Candidates must submit two letters of recommendation with an application, and international students must submit either a TOEFL or IELTS score.

The University of California – Berkeley (Haas) requires part-time MBA applicants to submit their GMAT or GRE score. Students have this “flex” option that permits them to take core courses online, and it’s their choice whether they want to take their elective classes in person or online.

Haas accepted 41% of applicants to its part-time MBA program and enrolled 314 new students. Candidates must submit two recommendation letters and international applicants need a TOEFL score of at least 90.

3) New York University (Stern)

The candidates must submit the accepted GMAT score. International students must demonstrate their proficiency in the English language via the TOEFL and IELTS. According to Stern, this huge enrolled class comprises 34% women and 23% minority students, varying from term to term.

4) University of California – Los Angeles

They have an acceptance rate of 64.1%; in 2020, it accepted 377 new students into its part-time MBA program. Approx 910 students are enrolled in a part-time MBA at Anderson School of Management, and students can expect up to a 137% salary increase. The program is designed to last 27 months.

5) The University of Michigan – Ann Arbor (Ross)

You must submit your GMAT score to demonstrate proficiency and readiness for the program. Their weekend and evening MBAs enrolled part-time cohort of 213. The school focuses on action-based learning and encourages students to seek new professional opportunities.

6) The University of Texas – Austin (McCombs)

The McCombs School of Business in Austin, Texas, is home to 453 part-time MBA students. 2020-2021 academic year, the school enrolled more than 450 part-time MBA students and had a 71% acceptance rate. 

7) Carnegie Mellon University (Tepper)

Tepper School of Business has a small class for its part-time program, with only 80 enrolled part-time students. Candidates must submit one recommendation letter with their application, and international students must submit a TOEFL score.

8) University of Southern California (Marshall)

USC’s part-time MBA program for professionals and managers is designed to last 33 months. Applicants are not required to submit a letter of recommendation. They aim to give students a core understanding of business while providing specializations in consulting, finance and entrepreneurship.

9) University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (Carlson)

This part-time MBA program can be completed as quickly as 2 1/2 years, or it may be extended to last for four years if students wish to move at a more leisurely pace. There are also opportunities for global experiences and real-life challenges to test business acumen and specializations.

10) Ohio State University (Fisher)

The Max M Fisher College of Business in Ohio is the only business school with a part-time MBA in central Ohio. Students can take 43% of their classes on topics they choose, which allows them to customize their course of study. Letters of recommendation are optional.
