Wharton MBA Deadlines

The Wharton Round 1 application deadline has just passed. If you were unable to submit your application in the first round, don’t worry—you have two more rounds in your hand.

As Wharton Round 2 Deadlines 2024, is just around the corner, you need to make sure that you submit the application by the right time on the deadline date. All the applications must be submitted by 5 PM EST on the deadline date.

Applications submitted after the Round 1 application deadline date will be considered under Round 2 and applications submitted after the Round 2 date shall be rolled on to the next round. However, applications shall not be considered if submitted after the Round 3 deadline date. 

Wharton MBA Application Requirements

1. Essays

Essays are an integral part of your Wharton MBA application. You need to submit two essays on the following topics:

Essay 1: How do you plan to use the Wharton MBA program to help you achieve your future professional goals? You might consider your past experience, short and long-term goals, and resources available at Wharton. (500 words)

Essay 2: Taking into consideration your background – personal, professional, and/or academic – how do you plan to make specific, meaningful contributions to the Wharton community? (400 words)

Make sure you frame your answer within the given word count and submit it by the Wharton MBA application deadlines. 

2. Official GMAT/ GRE Scores 

You need to submit results from either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) — both the older version and the Focus Edition — or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). Official scores will only be required for verification if an offer of admission is extended.

Additionally, the college specifies a validity period for test scores applicable to each admission round:

3. CV

4. Transcripts from Each College or University Attended 

You need to submit transcripts of all your educational levels. Transcripts must be in English or French. While transcripts in other languages are also accepted, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation. Each transcript must bear the official seal and signature of the institution. Submit the transcripts as per the UPenn MBA deadlines.

5. English Language Certification for Non-Native Speakers

You are required to submit results from the TOEFL iBT, PTE, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test unless you attended an institution where English was the primary language of instruction. If your degree was earned from such an institution, you are exempted from appearing in the above-mentioned tests.

6. Two Professional Letters of Recommendation 

Out of the two, one must be from the candidate’s current direct supervisor and the second can be from someone with the ability to evaluate the candidate in a professional setting

7. Wharton Application Fee

$275 non-refundable application fee

The UPenn MBA application process is a very simplified one. You can just follow the steps one after the other as it appears on the screen. As you submit the application as per the Wharton MBA application deadlines, the admission committee shall review your application and if you are shortlisted, you shall be invited for an interview process. Candidates will be notified on the same via an email with a link to schedule the interview within the Wharton MBA interview dates, and resources for the interview preparation.
