WE ARE NOW LISTED ON POETS&QUANTS
Founded in 1898, the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business is the second-oldest business school in the world. It is ranked #3 in Best Business School globally, leaving several other elite schools behind. The Full-Time MBA Program at Chicago Booth provides you with freedom: academic freedom, freedom to take risks, and freedom to define your impact in the world. The multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving empowers you with free thinking and sound decision-making frameworks. WHY BOOTH?
Booth has a mission to create knowledge with enduring impact and influence and educate current and future leaders through a passionate commitment to helping the best and brightest minds turn their ideas and talents into a meaningful impact.
BOOTH will rightly fit into your list if:
- You think of switching careers– BOOTH is a nice pick for people who plan to make a career switch sometime in their future. A well-designed first-year program can potentially result in a more meaningful summer internship experience and dramatically accelerate progress in their new field, making them more attractive when they compete against candidates from other programs.
- You have an average of 2-5 years of work experience– Chicago Booth is somewhat more open to younger applicants like other top-notch US B-Schools. Usually, two-three years of experience is recommended. On the other hand, Chicago Booth also tends to be open to “more experienced” (i.e., older) applicants; it’s not unheard of for a class to have several students with more than six years of experience.
- Your post-MBA goals are clear– The amount of flexibility in the Chicago Booth curriculum is genuinely unprecedented, which is excellent for someone ready to hit the ground running. However, this can be a bit patchy for the students with a less clear direction on their future goals.
- You are a quant person – Chicago Booth rightly fits into the list if one is more driven to finance; the school’s data-driven approach extends across the curriculum into areas like marketing and entrepreneurship. The picture below shows the average GMAT and GRE score for the upcoming class of 2025.Â
